With someone as talented as Andrew Davis at the helm, his last film, "Under Seige," was terrific. For "On Deadly Ground," Seagal decided to make his producer-director debut, so he has no one to blame but himself. This one is just a mess; an unintentional comdey punctuated by dark, poorly staged fight scenes and with a weird, but apparently sincere conspiratorial coda tacked onto the end.
