OBIT BLACKWELL, KENNETH EARL
BLACKWELL, Kenneth Earl, 62, of Lexington, died Friday, February 18, 1994,
in a Lynchburg Hospital. Born July 9, 1931, in Rockbridge Co., he was the son
of the late Robert Earl Blackwell and Beulah Lee Lilley Blackwell. Mr.
Blackwell was a member and Elder of Lexington Presbyterian Church, member of
Lexington Moose Lodge #1700, and Lexington Golf Club. Surviving are his wife,
Annie Lawhorn Blacwell, Lexington; daughter, Karen Marie Blackwell, Raphine;
son, Larry David Blackwell, Steeles Tavern; son and daughter-in-law, Gary Lee
and Melody Kay Blackwell, Buena Vista; 4 sisters, Kate Hullett, Martinsville,
Gladys Brown, Martinsville, Phyllis Rankin, Staunton, Doris Lunsford,
Brownsburg; beloved sisters-in-law, Bernice Blackwell, Gloucester, Alleene
Lawhorn, Lexington; three grandchildren, Whitney Rae Blackwell, Ryne Ewing and
Tabitha Lee Blackwell; two stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Paul Fauber; a number
of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 21,
1994, 3 p.m. from the Harrison Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Lee Zehmer
officiating. Burial will follow in Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will
receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harrison Funeral Home.
