ALMOST ALL HAVE POWER

Most residents without power finally got out of the dark Sunday as Virginia power companies repaired wires and poles damaged from last week's ice storm.

Six customers in Appalachian Power Co.'s Pulaski division were still out of service as of 4 p.m. Sunday, said Joe Weddle, the division's training and dispatch superintendent. The cases involved major damage to poles and wires, Weddle said. He anticipated that all customers should have power by late Sunday.

Virginia Power restored power to the last 18 of its customers Saturday evening in Buckingham Count.
