TICKETS LEFT FOR TECH-UVA BASKETBALL

About 2,000 tickets remain for the Virginia-Virginia Tech basketball game scheduled next Wednesday night at the Roanoke Civic Center. Tipoff is 7:35 p.m.

Tech ticket manager Tom McNeer said Monday that about 8,100 tickets have been sold. The civic center seats 10,056 for basketball. The last time the state rivalry was played in Roanoke, the game drew a crowd of 8,396 in February 1992.

Tickets are priced at $18 and are still available at the civic center box office and the athletic ticket offices at Tech and UVa.
