MORENO SELECTED FOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BOARD

Franklyn H. Moreno, executive director of the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance, has been elected to the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for a three-year term.

Moreno is also active in other economic development organizations. He is currently chairman of the Virginia Team and secretary of the Blue Ridge Economic Development Advisory Council.

Before coming to Virginia, he was economic development director for the city of Carbondale, Ill. He has worked in community and economic development in a variety of professional roles for the past 30 years.

The chamber board is made up of 50 members from business and industry throughout the state.
