MAN'S BODY FOUND IN RIVER

Police are investigating the death of a 70-year-old man whose body was found in the New River on Monday.

Radford City Police said they were called after a passer-by saw Roby Allen Dickerson in the water about 2 p.m.

Dickerson's body was found in the water behind the Little River Dam near a boat launch, police said.

Dickerson's death was still being investigated Monday afternoon and no cause of death, or additional information, was immediately available.
