Retha Alice Tolliver and James David Parker are engaged and planning to be married June 4, 1994, in Roanoke. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Tolliver, Abingdon, Va. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School, Glade Spring, Va., and from Emory & Henry College and Virginia Western Comm. College. She is employed by Roanoke Memorial. Mr. Parker is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Parker, Salem, Va. He graduated from Salem High School and Radford University. He is employed by Advance Auto Parts.
