BASEBALL SPIDERS RIP RADFORD
Richmond scored five runs in the first, second and fifth innings as it
bombarded Radford 22-12 in Richmond. Ed Tober hit a grand slam in the first
inning for the Spiders (22-14), and Sean Ryan had a school-record seven RBI.
Radford (18-14) slammed four home runs in a seven-run third inning to keep the
score close for a while. Highlanders who hit homers in the fourth were Donnie
Fields, Denny Van Pelt, Aaron Pasko and Mike Hurt.
