WINNERS ANNOUNCED IN DOCTORS' DAY RACE

Howard Nippert of Blacksburg won the 1994 Doctors' Day 8K run held March 27 in Roanoke. Nipper, 28, finished the course in 25 minutes and 31 seconds.

Jay Johns, 19, of Blacksburg was second; Chris Camren, 21, of Washington, D.C., was third.

In the women's division, Newport's Lori Taylor was the winner with 31 minutes and four seconds. Taylor, 31, finished ninth overall. Kara Kaufman, 19, of Blacksburg, was second; Heather Osborne, 18, of Troutville was third.

Charles Warner, 34, of Roanoke, with a time of 30 minutes and 40 seconds, won the doctors division. Enrique Silberblatt, 41, of Troutville was second; Chuck Gilliland, 49, of Roanoke was third.
