STREAMS PROGRAM SEEKS TRAINERS

The Virginia Museum of Natural History at Virginia Tech will offer workshops for those wishing to serve as trainers for the "Save Our Streams" program next Saturday . Staff from the national office of the Izaak Walton League of America will teach the workshop from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the museum, 428 N. Main St.

Trainers in the "Save Our Streams" program should be willing to spend a minimum of one year as an instructor and dedicate 40 hours per year to training others. The trainers meet with volunteers and teach them techniques for monitoring streams and surveying land use.

Registration is required for Saturday's workshop. The cost is $3 for museum members or $5 for nonmembers. Call 231-3001 for more information.
