MAY FELLOWSHIP OPEN TO ALL CHURCHWOMEN

Church Women United invite women in the Blacksburg area to gather for the annual MAY FELLOWSHIP SERVICE 11 a.m. May 6 at Blacksburg United Methodist Church on Church Street.

Begun in 1933, May Fellowship Day emphasizes unity while focusing on important local issues. Offerings support the work of Church Women United in Blacksburg.

A luncheon follows the service. Infant care is available. All attendees are asked to bring a salad dish.

Gary Alls tells "How to Be Biblically Released from Financial Bondage," Sunday through Wednesday, 7 p.m. each evening, at COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN ACADEMY, 95 Patricia Lane, across from The Huckleberry Inn on Roanoke Road, Christiansburg.

Music will be provided by David Carroll and Dr. Ken Jones. The sessions are open to individuals or groups.

On the Revival Circuit:

The Rev. Ira Roth will preach at revival services Sunday through Wednesday at Blacksburg First Wesleyan Church, 1406 Giles Road. Services Sunday at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. A carry-in dinner will be served in the fellowship hall following the morning service. Weeknight services start at 7.

Evangelist Bob Ely will preach during revival services Sunday through Thursday at Pilot Pentecostal Holiness Church, 4491 Old Pike Road. Services Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Weeknight services start at 7.

Making a Joyful Noise:

Mark Alan Spangler and Decision will appear tonight at 8 at Straight Street, 300 N. Franklin St., Christiansburg. The concert is free, but donations are welcome. Spangler, on his "Before Their Eyes" tour, will perform songs from his latest album of the same name.
