HEAD START TO FILL 304 SLOTS

New River Community Action's Head Start program for low-income children has 304 slots to fill in the New River Valley. Children who are 3- or 4-years old are eligible.

Head Start is a program designed to give children and their families the experiences they need to bring success in public schools and improve the quality of family life. Children in the program will receive medical, dental, speech, hearing and developmental screenings to help prepare them for entering kindergarten as happy, healthy children.
