Pyles was 3-for-3 with four RBI for Giles (7-4, 4-0), which trailed 4-2 entering the sixth. Mark Akers led Shawsville (9-4, 3-1), going 3-for-5.
Ronnie Spicer pitched a one-hitter and struck out 12 batters as Narrows edged Rocky Gap 2-0 in a Mountain Empire District game at Rocky Gap.
Whitey Blankenship scored Narrows' first run in the third inning off a wild pitch. Patrick Bailey's two-out RBI single in the fourth gave Narrows (9-2, 5-0) its other run.
Kenny Ward pitched a three-hitter, striking out seven batters in a complete-game effort as Carroll County whipped Blacksburg 9-2 in a New River District battle in Blacksburg.
