Bankruptcy court gest eight petitions

Eight petitions with business connections have been filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia at Roanoke:

B&P Inc., trading as Omni Video on Hollins Road in Roanoke, has filed for liquidation. The company listed assets of $12,060 and liabilities of $94,923.

Barry L. Gordon and Patricia H. Gordon, of Shadow Lane in Roanoke, filed for a wage earner plan for repayment of debt, showing assets of $119,604 and liabilities of $208,938. He is president of B&P Inc. and Omni Video.

Kenneth Hammond and Loralea Hammond of Suburban Avenue S.W. in Roanoke filed for a wage earner plan for repayment of debt. They operated Hammond Optical and sold health food. The Hammonds had assets of $66,262 and liabilities of $115,728.

Darrell Dean Mullins, trading as Darrell Mullins Trucking and 4 M Motors Inc. at Coeburn, had assets of $54,421 and liabilities of $74,422.

Robert C. Singleton III and Debra R. Singleton, formerly trading as Singleton Express, a trucking company at Glade Spring, estimated assets and liabilities at more than $100,000. They asked for reorganization and protection from creditors.

Ralph Lewis Stump and Vickie Frances Stump of Newport listed $10,075 in assets and $19,255 in liabilities in seeking liquidation. He is self-employed.

Sharon Anne Hughes of Hershberger Road in Roanoke, who has a cleaning business, had assets of $3,600 and liabilities of $21,262. She asked for liquidation.

Also seeking liquidation was Carolyn Austin Murray of Ruston Street N.E. in Roanoke, who has a child care business. She had assets of $710 and liabilities of $15,067
