2 ROANOKERS SHARE IN FLA. LOTTO JACKPOT

Two Roanokers were part of a five-member partnership that bought a wining ticket in the March 12, $37.32 million Florida Lotto drawing.

The Westview Four Irrevocable Trust of Roanoke claimed its one-third share of the jackpot Tuesday. Members of the trust, according to a release from the Florida Lottery Department, include: Janet M. and Randall A. Edwards of Roanoke; Robert E. and Rita A. Neiman of Pompano Beach, Fla.; and Robert E. Neiman Jr. of Rochester Hills, Mich.

Robert Neiman claimed the prize for the trust on Tuesday, said Dave Rhea, a public information officer for the lottery department.

The trust will receive $12.44 million, paid in 20 annual installments of $622,000.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Farm Store on South Ocean Boulevard in Pompano Beach. The Lotto numbers drawn March 12 were: 7-10-17-35-46-49.

Two other winners - The SAMAR Group Partnership of Delray Beach, Fla., and Florence Webster of Melbourne, Fla. - claimed their shares of the jackpot earlier.

The $37.32 million Lotto jackpot was the largest in Florida since an $86 million drawing in March 1993, Rhea said.

None of the trust members could be reached for comment Tuesday.
