Bruce K. Blaylock, currently dean of the business school at Western Connecticut State University, will head Radford's College of Business and Economics.
Wilbur W. Stanton, a marketing professor at Old Dominion University, will head Radford's graduate college.
For Blaylock, the move means a return to the New River Valley. From 1979 to 1983 he taught management science at Virginia Tech.
Selected from among 76 applicants, Blaylock will replace Donald W. Kroeber as dean. Kroeber resigned as dean last year to return to teaching.
Blaylock received his undergraduate degree in 1971 from Ohio University, his master's from Auburn University and his doctorate from Georgia State University.
In addition to Virginia Tech, Blaylock has taught at Eastern Kentucky University. His annual salary will be $90,000.
Stanton, selected from among 74 applicants, will replace Paul T. Bryant, who retired last year.
Stanton earned undergraduate and master's degrees and a doctorate from Georgia State University. He has worked as an administrator of ODU's graduate program, and has been a member of the school's faculty since 1983.
His annual salary will be $82,000.
The appointments will be effective July 1.
