Rally's Hamburgers Inc., a Louisville fast-food chain with outlets in Roanoke and Salem, on Monday reported for first-quarter revenues increased 16 percent to $42.8 million from $36.9 million in the 1993 quarter. The company reported a net loss for the quarter of $1.9 million, or 14 cents per share. Earnings for the 1993 period were $1.4 million, or 11 cents per share.
May Department Stores
May Department Stores Co. Inc., St. Louis parent of Hecht's and Payless ShoeSource stores in Western Virginia, on Monday reported first-quarter net earnings of $112 million, or 41 cents per share, up 17.1 percent from $96 million, or 35 cents per share, a year earlier. Sales were $2.53 billion, up from $2.27 billion in the year-ago quarter.
