Because of an editorial assistant's error, the parents of Air Force Airman Lucas T. Duncan were listed incorrectly in the In Service column in Thursday's Current. Duncan is the son of Landis D. Duncan and Linda Dickerson. His stepmother is Rebecca F. Duncan. His stepfather is Roy A. Dickerson.
The photos of two high school students were incorrectly identified in the May 10 Class Notes column. Sarah Clements received an athletic and academic scholarship to Ashland University in Ohio. Angela Gilmer received an academic scholarship to Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg.
Due to a staff error, a story in Saturday's paper about development in the Riner area contained incorrect information. If a piece of property does not "perk," or percolate, a developer could not use a septic tank to serve the house or commercial building to be built on the site. Instead, the developer would have to connect the property to a public sewer or increase the size of the lot to include soil that does perk.
