BYRD RALLIES TO REMAIN UNBEATEN

William Byrd rallied from a three-run deficit to stay unbeaten with a 9-3 victory over host Rockbridge County in a Blue Ridge District baseball game on Tuesday.

Rockbridge (7-10 overall, 3-6 in the district) led 3-0 before Byrd scored six runs in the third inning on four hits and three Wildcat errors. Shannon Gray's two-run home run put Byrd (17-0,9-0) ahead for good. Gray was 2-for-4 with three RBI and Chris Spraker was 3-for-4 with three RBI.
