CIVIC GROUP ELECTS NEW OFFICERS, HONORS CARRIERS

The Cherokee Hills Community Association recently elected its board of directors for the coming year.

Steve Nelson was elected president. Other officers include: Jim Vonderhaar, vice president; Frankie Butler, secretary; and David Current, treasurer.

The group also honored Jackie Carroll, a postal carrier, and Terry Hines, a Roanoke Times & World-News carrier, for their services.
