NEW RIVER PEOPLE IN BUSINESS

The National Bank of Blacksburg recently honored fourteen employees for long-term service: IEDA STURGILL,35 years; CONNIE LOVERN, CAROLYN GILLENWATER, and CATHERINE ZIRK, 25 years; SHARON DAVIS and JOYCE DUNCAN, 20 years; LARRY HAYES, JOAN NELSON, and TERRY STAFFORD, 15 years; and BRAD DENARDO, CAROLYN HERREN, JOHN HODGES, REBECCA HUDDLE, and MOLLY TUCKER,10 years.

DON GRAY of Christiansburg celebrated his retirement from Litton Poly-Scientific in May after 38 years of service.

JIM TYNAN, an agency manager for Nationwide Insurance in Christiansburg, was honored for superior sales and customer service with an invitation to the company's President's Conference in Hawaii.

Heritage Hall of Blacksburg has named CORA EAST Associate of the Quarter for April, May and June. East is a certified nursing assistant with 14 years of service.

Nations Bank has promoted R. SCOTT LEVYto assistant vice-president. He is responsible for commercial banking customers in the New River Valley. Levy is a 1990 graduate of Virginia Tech.

The Blacksburg office of Scott & Stringfellow announced that ALVIN "BUZ" ENGELHARD is a registered representative in the brokerage industry. Engelhard recently completed his master's degree in business administration at Radford University.

BETH HAYNES RICHARDSON of Fairlawn has joined ERA Townside Inc. as a sales associate.

JAX GLOSSBRENNER has retired after 39 years of service from Litton Poly-Scientific. Throughout his career he has held many engineering and management positions.
