A HOT, DRY SUMMER

June was hotter than normal, but not hot enough - to break any weather records in the Roanoke Valley, that is.

Nevertheless, after a wet, (well, icy) winter, summer in the valley has started off the same way spring ended. Dry. June's total of 1.99 inches of precipitation was 1.20 inches below normal.
