Bowen-Spiva

Ms. Katherine Byrd of Roanoke is pleased to announce the engagement of her daughter, Heather Beverly Bowen, to Ernest Jay Spiva, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Spiva of Bedford.

Miss Bowen is a graduate of Northside High School and attended Virginia Western Community College. Mr. Spiva is a graduate of Liberty High School and is serving in the U.S. Army. A July, 1994, wedding is planned.

\ Bowles-Lane

Jill Bowles and Gregory Lane are engaged and planning to be married on May 20, 1995. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald I. Bowles of Roanoke. She graduated from William Byrd High School and is in her senior year at Radford University. She is employed by Sears. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene M. Lane of Roanoke. He graduated from William Byrd High School and Virginia College, and is employed by Babbage's Inc.

\ Bowling-Tribbett

Stacey Y. Bolling and Richard E. Tribbett are engaged and planning to be married October 8, 1994, at Rainbow Forest Baptist Church, Troutville.

She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan H. Bolling of Gretna. She graduated from Altavista High School and Radford University, and is employed by Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley as a registered nurse.

He is a son of Tommy J. Tribbett Sr. of Blue Ridge. He graduated from Lord Botetourt High School and is employed by Precision Fabrics Group, Inc. in Vinton.

\ Hurt-Layman

Angela L. Hurt and Steve C. Layman are engaged and planning to be married August 13, 1994. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elwood C. Hurt of Henry, Virginia. She was graduated from Franklin County High School and Emory & Henry College. She is employed by Roanoke City Public Schools. He is a son of Mr. George W. Layman of Bristol, Tennessee and the late Betty R. Layman. He was graduated from the University of Tennessee and is owner of ``Party Central'' in Blacksburg.

\ May-Cutler

Kelly Caprice May and Jeffrey Boyd Cutler are engaged and planning to be married at Main Street Methodist Church in Bedford, Va., on March 4, 1995. The bride-elect is the daughter of Mr. Aubrey A. May of Bedford and Mrs. Vee Dell May of Gulfport, Mississippi. She is presently attending Liberty University and is employed by the law firm of Davidson, Sakolosky and Richards, P.C. in Lynchburg, Va. The groom-elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Cutler, Jr. of Bedford, Virginia. He is employed by Carilion Transportation Service as a Paramedic.
