LESLEY VISSER

Lesley Visser will join ESPN this fall as a correspondent for the cable network's NFL GameDay and SportsCenter programs.

Besides reporting on ESPN's Triple Crown horse racing specials and NCAA basketball games, including the Final Four, she will work for ABC Sports as a reporter for college football bowl games and NFL playoff games, including the Super Bowl.

ESPN said Visser, who had been with CBS Sports, also will contribute to ABC's Triple Crown horse racing coverage and Wide World of Sports.

Former president George Bush was inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame received a plaque, hat and T-shirt during a ceremony at the Italian Heritage Center. Bush, 70, played in College World Series in 1947 and 1948 as a first baseman for Yale. During summers, he played for the Kennebunk Collegians, a group of college and prep school students who played similar teams from around the state.
