MEETING TONIGHT ON POWER LINE PROPOSALS

The U.S. Forest Service will hold a public meeting 7-9 tonight at Narrows High School. Officials will explain the alternative routes for the high voltage power line that Appalachian Power Co. plans to build from West Virginia to Cloverdale in Botetourt County.

To reach Narrows High School, drive west on U.S. 460 to the town limits. Turn right at the first and only stoplight (U.S. 460 and Virginia 100). Take another right onto Woodland Street and continue up a steep hill. The high school is on the left.

Additional meetings in the area are scheduled for July 27 in Mechanicsburg in Bland County and July 28 in Blacksburg.
