BAIN, Cleaman L., 65, of Radford, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994, in a Radford hospital. He was a retired employee of Lynchburg Foundry Company. Surviving are his wife, Anna Lee Musick Bain, Radford; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon B. (Sissy) and Kyle E. Davis, Radford; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven L. and Nancy S. Bain, Radford; his mother, Mrs. Ollie Bain, Radford; two grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Bain, and Angela Michelle Bain. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor O. D. Morgan and the Rev. Cecil Albano officiating. Interment will follow in the Baine's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.

BRAMMER, Kyle Joseph, 72, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, July 14, 1994 at his residence following a long illness with Parkinson's disease. He was born in Montgomery County on January 27, 1922, the son of the late William Joseph and Louanna Brammer. He was a retired Supervisor with hercules, Inc., Radford, Va. and a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Christiansburg. Mr. Brammer was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Brammer, Elmer Brammer and Cecil Brammer and is survived by his wife, Ora S. Brammer; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jerry D. and Sally H. Brammer of Wichita, Kan., and Gary L. Brammer, Christiansburg; a brother and sister-in-law, Otho and Lura Brammer, Christiansburg; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Della and John ``Herbert"" Swinney of North Haven, Conn., and Lalia G. Hill of Salem; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth C. Brammer of Elliston, Loraine C. Brammer of Edgewood, Md.; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the New River Valley Hospice, Inc., P.O. Box 10896, Blacksburg, Va. 24060. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday where friends may call Friday and Saturday. The family will receive friends at the church from 7 until 9 Friday evening. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday from the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Richard Kingrea with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg, Va. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.

BRYANT, Beulah Spivey, 87, of Austinville, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at the Twin County Community Hospital in Galax. She was born March 5, 1907 in Carroll County to Pearlie C. Spivey and Rhoda Williams Spivey. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Creed Bryant on July 4, 1994. Survivors include five sons and four daughters- in-law, Chester Bryant of Glouchester, Cecil and Faye Bryant of Galax, Junior and Dot Bryant and Pearlie and Shirley Bryant of Richmond, and Ernest and Debbie Bryant of Stafford; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Lorena Llewellyn of Richmond, Rodessa and Edward Semones of Martinsville, Norma and Jack Gregory of Buckingham, Joan and Elton Worrell of Hillsville, Shirley and Charles Starr of Lynchburg; two sisters, Vera Smythers of Galax and Pearl Quesenberry of Austinville; 33 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; 20 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren. Funeral will be held Saturday, July 16, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Coulson Church of the Brethren with burial in the Coulson Church Cemetery with Rev. Russell Payne and Rev. Harry Shelton officiating. DAVENPORT, Irvin, 54, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, July 11, 1994. Survivors include three sons, Lamont and Gerald Divers, both of Roanoke, and Michael Davenport, Greenwood, S. C.; one daughter, Debra Davenport, Greenwood, S. C.; four brothers, John Davenport, Washington, D. C., James Davenport, Laurens, S. C., Michael Davenport, Hampton, and Gerald Davenport, Raleigh, N. C.; four sisters, Phyllis Hill, Glenda McCanty, Joyce Merrill, all of Laurens, S. C., and Sylvia Williams, Columbia, S. DIVERS, William Ronald Sr., (``Speedy""), 54, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 1994. He was employed at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a perfect son, a giving father and an incessant worker. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary R. Divers. Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda L. Divers, Willingboro, N. J.; one son, William R. Divers Jr., Roanoke; his father, John W. Divers, Roanoke; a devoted friend and her son, Carol Crigger and Robert Crigger, both of Roanoke; five sisters, Mary D. (William) Hackley, Terry L. Divers, Brenda D. (Walter) Wiley, all of Roanoke, Tonie D. (Clarence) Saunders, Stone Mountain, Ga., Denise D. (James) Bennett, Richmond; one brother, John E. (Susan) Divers, Charlottesville; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and his Roanoke Memorial Hospital family. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church. The Rev. FRALIN, Vena Brown, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 1994 in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. H. Fralin. Surviving are her son, James D. Fralin and wife, Loretta M. Fralin, Daleville; daughter, Rebecca F. Grasse and husband, Jim M. Grasse, Bourbonnais, Ill.; grandchildren, Jimmy Fralin and wife, Cynthia, Johnny Fralin and wife, Cindi, Randy Fralin, Suzanne Grasse, David Grasse; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeffrey, and Jessica Fralin. HODGES, Glen Bernard, 83, of Willis, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 1994. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Eula Gay Edwards. He is survived by his loving devoted wife of 64 years, Mary Lee Harman Hodges; six daughters, Jean Lugar, Ivadell Harris, Fern Harris, Phyllis Thompson all of Willis, Willadean Hylton, Meadows of Dan, Jewell Spickard, Blue Ridge; five sons, Hubert Harman, Check, Kenneth Hodges, Ewell Hodges both of Willis, Bernard Lee Hodges, Christiansburg, Raymond Hodges, Lorton; two sisters, Ellen Hodges, Georgie Orndorff both of Alexandria; two brothers, Charlie Hodges, Russell Hodges both of Roanoke; 31 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. HODGES, Nannie H., 90, of Rocky Mount, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 1994, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her husband, Walker L. Hodges and two sons, Maynard and Jack Hodges. Surviving are three daughters and one son-in-law, Ruby and Sherwood Hunt, Mytle Young, of Rocky Mount, Ella Satterfield, Wake Forest, N.C., one son and daughter-in-law, J. D. and Mary Jean Hodges, Rocky Mount; one sister, Elsie Hodges and one brother, Johnny Hodges, both of Rocky Mount; one sister-in-law, Virgie Hodges, Rocky Mount; other survivors include 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, also a very dear friend, Odell Hammock. HOLLAND, Nellie Bussey, 76, of Route 8, Rocky Mount, passed away Thursday, July 14, 1994. She was a daughter of the late Amos and Julia Bussey. Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Elder William Holland on December 4, 1987; a grandson, Brian Boone and one brother, Joe Bussey. She was a member of Pigg River Primitive Baptist Church. LANDIS, William Edward Jr., 67, of Salem, died on Wednesday, July 13,1994 at his home. He retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad with 37 1/2 years of service. He was a member of the WOW Lodge 362 and Roanoke Moose Lodge 284. He is survived by his wife, Betty G. Landis; two daughters, Deborah Nininger and Dee Windsor; two granddaughters Ginny Wimbish and Janis Harlow, one great-granddaughter Kathleen Harlow, also other numerous dear relatives and friends. POAGE, Woodrow C., (``Bill""), 81, of Hampton, died at Sentara Hampton General Hospital, Monday, July 4, 1994. He was retired from Newport News Shipbuilding. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary ``Lib"" Poage, Hampton; one sister, Eunice Bruce, Elkin, N. RICE, Merle S., 82, of Radford, died Thursday, July 14, 1994, in a Radford hospital. He was a retired employee of Radford College and a veteran of World War II. SMITH, Vinnie Ola, 95, of Vinton, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994 in Berkshire Nursing Home, Vinton. She was the daughter of the late William Steve and Altice Robertson Sink. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jacobe (Jake) Smith; her daughter, Janie Smith Perdue; her sons William S. Smith. SOWERS, Charlie O., 70, of Christiansburg, died Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at his home. He was a retired employee of RAAP and is survived by his wife, Melia A. Sowers; a son, Howard L. Sowers; three daughters, Linda Harrison, Connie Burk, and Susan Sowers; a granddaughter, Angie Reedy; great-granddaughter, Kayla Reedy; a step-granddaughter, Ashley Griffith. All are of Christiansburg. Also surviving are a brother, Joe Sowers, Alexandria; a sister, Merle Rakes of Shawsville and a half sister, Etta Mae Reed of Dublin. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Huffville Church in Floyd County, conducted by the Rev. Jube Burk with burial in the Huffville Cemetery.
