RED CROSS NEEDS HELP TO HELP

The American Red Cross is leading a food relief effort for Rwandan refugees. The organization has reached an estimated half a million refugees in Goma, Zaire.

The Red Cross urgently needs financial assistance to support relief operations in Rwanda, Zaire and other countries effected by the Rwandan conflict.

Roanoke-area residents wishing to help victims may send a contribution marked "Rwanda Relief" to the American Red Cross, 352 Church Ave. S.W., Roanoke, Va. 24016. Donations may also be charged to credit cards by calling (800)842-2200.
