BANKRUPTCY COURT RECEIVES 6 PETITIONS

Six bankruptcies with business affiliations have been filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia at Roanoke. Three of them are personal bankruptcies that the court listed as businesses because they have commercial connections and could be of interest to business creditors and customers.

Tram Coal Co. Inc. of Norton sought reorganization and protection from creditors, listing assets of $3,588,000, primarily property in Harold, Ky., and liabilities of $117,390.

Shenandoah Coal Co. Inc. of Pounding Mill filed for reorganization and protection from creditors. Ricky K. Jackson, president, said assets were $105,000 and liabilities were $425,702.

R.L. Leasing Inc. of North Tazewell, a former contract hauler, asked for liquidation. Regina Freeman, president, said the company had no assets and liabilities were $45,002.

Edward J. Will, trading as E.J. Will Co. of Roanoke, filed for liquidation, estimating assets at less than $50,000 and liabilities at more than $100,000.

Larry Mitchell Large and Deborah Meade Large of Pound filed for liquidation with assets of $44,560 and liabilities of $76,933. He has an interest in Larry Large Trucking and Large Trucking Co. Inc.

Jerry D. Rose and Marica Rose of Coeburn sought liquidation with assets of $115,420 and liabilities of $106,011. He has an interest in Jerry Rose Trucking, a coal-truck business.
