ESPN, WAC SIGN MULTIYEAR DEAL

The Western Athletic Conference and ESPN have reached a multiyear agreement that calls for the network to televise 11 WAC football games per year beginning in 1996.

The games will be shown on ESPN and ESPN2, according to the announcement, made jointly by Loren Matthews, senior vice president of ESPN, and Karl Benson, commissioner of the WAC.

ESPN has previously announced multiyear agreements with the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Big East Football Conference, also beginning in 1996.
