The Roanoke driver started on the pole and led every lap in the Late Model Stock Car feature of the New River Pontiac GMC Nissan 200.
The race was extended to 103 laps because of a late-race caution, but it didn't matter because McGuire was that dominant.
``My crew told me that Mike [Michael Ritch] was putting up some good laps but that he was inconsistent,'' said McGuire, who drove his Chevrolet into Victory Lane for the fourth time . ``So I felt pretty comfortable with things.''
Ritch had his Chevy in second when a caution flag came out on lap 86. After the restart seven laps later, Jeff Agnew pulled up to pass.
Several laps of side-by-side racing ensued, and McGuire pulled out to a 11/2-second lead. When Ritch slid in turn 4 on lap 97, Agnew's Chevrolet and Stacy Compton's Ford moved past.
Coming back down the track, Ritch's car tapped Compton's. The minor mishap left some debris on the track that resulted in a four-lap caution period at lap 98.
That turned the race into a two-lap shootout, but McGuire had too much for the field. Agnew, from Floyd, ended up second, followed by Compton of Hurt, Ritch of High Point, N.C., and Dicky Wilson of Salem in a Buick.

Rock Harris of Yadkinsville, N.C., survived an early challenge and went on to his eighth victory of the season in the 35-lap Limited Sportsman race. Charlie Miles, Dave Blessing and Rick Cook were second, third and fourth, respectively.
