REPORTED EARNINGS

Hershey Foods Corp., Hershey, Pa., operator of a chocolate plant in Stuarts Draft and a pasta plant at Winchester, reported second-quarter net income of $25.3 million, or 29 cents per share, down from $26 million, or 29 cents, a year earlier. Sales were $675.9 million against $618.4 million. Net income for six months was $78.3 million, or 90 cents per share, up from $27.2 million, or 30 cents.

Uni-Marts Inc.

Uni-Marts Inc., State College, Pa., operator of convenience stores, reported third-quarter net earnings of $693,930, or 10 cents per share, up from $612,730, or 9 cents, a year earlier. Revenues were $80.5 million, down from $87.3 million. For nine months, net earnings were $2.4 million, or 35 cents, up from $1.9 million, or 29 cents.
