ETS International Inc., a Roanoke environmental firm, reported Tuesday it earned $102,158, or a penny a share, during the fiscal year ended May 31. That compares with a loss of $685,808, or 8 cents, in the 1993 fiscal year.
Revenues reached a record $4.5 million, up 7.5 percent from $4.2 million.
Contel Cellular
Contel Cellular Inc., Atlanta-based operator of cellular telephone service in Western Virginia, reported a net loss for the second quarter of $9.5 million and for the six months of $18.1 million. Per-share losses were 9 cents and 18 cents, respectively. Revenues for the quarter were $135.3 million, up 51 percent from $89.4 million in the 1993 period. Revenues for the six months were $254.5 million, up from $167,086 million in the 1993 period.
Coca-Cola Bottling
Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated, Charlotte, N.C. parent of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Roanoke and operations in Clifton Forge, Dublin, Martinsville, Norton and Bristol, reported record second-quarter net earnings of $6.7 million, or 72 cents per share, up 11 percent from $6 million, or 65 cents, in the 1993 quarter. Net sales were $200.7 million against $194.5 million.
Net earnings for the six months were $6.0 million, or 88 cents per share, up 11.2 percent from $7.4 million, or 80 cents. Net sales were $364.5 million against $348.8 million.
