Naff was supposed to appear Tuesday for his preliminary hearing on sexual molestation charges. But Naff contacted his criminal attorney an hour or so before the preliminary hearing was to begin, saying that he was seeking medical treatment for abdominal pains.
On Wednesday, Bedford County prosecutor Randy Krantz said he had received verification of Naff's sickness from Dr. John T. Allen of Jefferson Surgical Clinic. Allen's recommendation was that Naff stay in bed for four days, according to the document. The doctor did not divulge Naff's diagnosis or the cause of the sickness.
Naff's preliminary hearing has been reset for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 2 in the Bedford County Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court.
