POWER-LINE MAPS TO BE IN LIBRARIES

The U.S. Forest Service will have topographical maps of Appalachian Power Co.'s proposed new power line available for public viewing at a variety of locations by Monday.

The maps, which will show Apco's proposed power-line corridor and the alternative corridors recently identified by the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will be available at public libraries in Roanoke, Narrows, Blacksburg, Pearisburg and Pulaski.

The maps also can be viewed at the Craig County administrator's office, the Bland County administrator's office, the Narrows town manager's office and the Giles County administrator's office.
