Craig seeks principal for high school

Applications are being accepted for principal at Craig County High School to succeed Brian Green, who resigned recently to return to his native Tennessee.

Green has become principal of Harriman High School in Harriman, Tenn., a community of about 8,300 people in Roane County, about 30 miles west of Knoxville.

The high school, with about 500 students, is about twice the size of Craig County's, Green said.

Applications for the Craig principal's post are being accepted at the office of the superintendent in New Castle.

Green joined the Craig County school division in August 1992 as assistant principal at the high school and was promoted to principal in November of that year when Principal Bill Gerrol resigned to become assistant principal at Salem High School.
