WYTHE COUNTY WOMAN ARRESTED

A 44-year-old Wythe County woman has been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a sawed-off shotgun.

Carol McAllister Walters was arrested after a raid on her home in the Sand Mountain area late Tuesday. She was held in jail under $15,000 bond.

Sheriff Wayne Pike said authorities seized cocaine valued at $10,000. Also seized were two handguns, one of which turned out to be stolen, he said.
