The TV show is based on the yet-to-be released book by C. David Heymann in which he says she was beaten by three of her seven husbands - Mike Todd, Nicky Hilton and Richard Burton - and worked hard on making Larry Fortensky's presentation acceptable within her social circles.
The actress says in court papers filed Wednesday in Los Angeles that she earns her livelihood totally off her name and image and that if the series is aired it will damage her ability to make money. Her lawyer said the book's contention that she was beaten "is not true."
