NRCC grant
DUBLIN - New River Community College received a $192,478 grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
The grant will be used to continue activities under the Strengthening Institutions Program, a special program designed to help colleges make improvements in key areas such as instruction, curriculum development and student services.
Mark Rowh, director of the grant project, said that the federal funds would be used to support professional development activities and the colleges expansion of it's distance learning programs. This is the third year the college has received a grant from this program.

James Eden, Blacksburg author and psychiatrist, will be featured on CNBC's "America's Talking, Alive and Wellness Program" today at 11 a.m. The program can also be viewed on satellite, G1-10.
Eden will discuss his current book, "Energetic Healing: The Merging of Ancient and Modern Medical Practices" and current concepts in quantum medicine.
