CHILD PORN ISSUE GOES TO HIGH COURT

The Supreme Court is considering whether Congress erred in writing a ban on the distribution of child pornography.

At issue is whether the child pornography law meets the Constitution's free-speech standards by requiring proof a defendant knew the material involved sexual depiction of a child.

The Clinton administration asked the high court to reinstate the law, which was ruled unconstitutional by a lower court.
