LEAVES AND WOOD DUCKS FALL ON A PERFECT AUTUMN DAY

Last week, during the fleeting, four-day early duck season, we placed wood duck decoys in a stream pool that had widened accomodatingly for our purpose.

Overhead was a towering white oak tree, its spreading branches raining acorns to the ground and into the water, providing abundant and choice food for wildlife.
