SOCIAL SERVICES REZONING OK'D

Town Council approved a rezoning request from Montgomery County for its proposed new social services office building Tuesday.

Construction on the building, to be located in downtown Christiansburg, is scheduled to begin in February 1995 with a completion date set for March 1996. The rezoned land, formerly for residential use and now for business use, clears the way for the project.

Council met Tuesday so members could attend the annual Virginia Municiple League meeting in Richmond next week.

Council also met in executive session to discuss a legal matter involving the town and disposition of public property, but made no decisions.
