BENEFIT TOURNEY WINNERS NAMED

The city of Salem Department of Parks and Recreation has announced winners from the 13th Annual City of Salem Benefit Golf Tournament held at Salem Municipal Golf Course.

They are: Hue Sprouse, Dot Sprouse, Tom Bradley, Herman Chaney and Josh Chaney, first place with a score 59; Robbie Almond, Perry Skelton, Steve Altice and Ron Burton, second place with a score of 61; Karl Kummer, Dave Kummer, Mike Kummer and Evans Halstead, third place with a score of 61; and Frank Richards, Marions Ross, Shannon Altice and Shannon Altice Jr., fourth place with a score of 63.

Lewis Johnston shot closest to the pin in the morning round; and David Kummer shot closest in the evening round.

Proceeds from this year's tournament benefited the "Hook-A-Kid-On-Golf" Program and Dewey Gearhart, a heart-transplant candidate.
