ALLS, Martha Buck, 71, of Blacksburg, died Friday, November 4, 1994, at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mrs. Alls was born in Montgomery County, on December 16, 1922, a daughter of the late Leslie Mohler and Dela Frances Fagg Buck. She was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church of Radford, and the Rebekah Lodge #100 of Blacksburg. Mrs. Alls was preceded in death by her husband, Aven P. Alls. She is survived by two nieces and husbands, Patricia Grubb and Minor Saunders, Newport, Barbara Grubb and Doug Burt, Hopewell, Va.; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; two stepdaughters and a son-in-law, Florence Alls Linkous, Blacksburg, Jean Alls and Doug Watts, Mannassas, Va.; six stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, N ovember 6, 1994, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Marion Saunders and the Rev. Raymond Klaiber officiating. Interment will follow in North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, Elliott, Va. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 404 8th Street, N.E., Suite C, Charlotte, Va. 22901. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BARNETT, Mrs. Mary Lester, 94, of Shawsville, died Friday, November 4, 1994. She was preceded in death by two husbands, L. W. Lester and Frank Barnett; two sons, Oscar Lee Lester and Frank E. Lester; two sons-in-law, Harry H. Hamlin and Howery Altizer; one grandson, Tony G. Hamlin. She is survived by two daughters, Dorothea Lester Hamlin, Roanoke, Rosemond Lester Altizer, Shawsville; one daughter-in-law, Ruby Lester, Riner; one brother, Henry Graham, Christiansburg; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 1994, at the Grant E. Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Buck Yopp officiating. Interment in Ben Hill Cemetery. BRYANT, Robert Lee, 93, of Bassett, died Friday, November 4, 1994. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday, Collins Funeral Chapel.

COPENHAVER, Mary Taylor Gills, 91, of Marion, widow of William Haller Copenhaver, died Friday, November 4, 1994, in Smyth County Community Hospital. She was born in Appomattox County and was the daughter of the late William Pitzer Gills and Judith Albertha Gills. She was a graduate of Westhampton College and attended the University of Virginia. She taught in Appomattox, Bedford and Smyth counties and in the Richmond Public Schools for many years. She was a member of the Marion Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister, Catherine Gills Frazier of Kenbridge, Va.; one brother, J. Allen Gills of Lynchburg, Va. Several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 1994, at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Dr. William A. Slater officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.

HONEYCUTT, Ann D., 68, of Richmond, died Thursday, November 3, 1994. She is survived by her husband, Oscar J. Honeycutt; a daughter, Ramona S. Gladen of Norfolk, Va.; a stepdaughter, Sylvia Honeycutt of Mendham, New Jersey; a stepson, Oscar J. Honeycutt, Jr. of Hendersonville, N.C.; a brother, Clarence H. Diehl of Allentown, Pa.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Honeycutt was a retired Tax Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service. JONES, Elizabeth T., 85, of The Roanoke Methodist Home, Roanoke, died Wednesday, November 2, 1994. She was the widow of Harry M. Jones and was formerly of Chester and Norfolk, Va. A memorial service will be at the Roanoke Methodist Home, 1009 Old Country Club Rd., N.W., Roanoke, at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 1994, with Dr. John W. Myers officiating. JONES, Joseph William, 59, formerly from Salem, departed life, Thursday, November 3, 1994 in Oakland, Calif. He is survived by one son, Michael Keith Jones, Salem; three daughters, Catherine Elizabeth Jones, Alexandria, Va., Shauna and Janet Jones, Oakland, Calif.; one brother, Frank Jones, Roanoke; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Lula and Ellison Curtis, Roanoke, Earnestine and James Murphy, Roanoke; Host of nephews, nieces and cousins. The body will be creamated by Neptune Society Crematory in Oakland, Calif. with ashes scattered over the Pacific Ocean.

KEITH, Luther William, ``Bill"", 68, of Glasgow, died Friday, November 4, 1994, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born November 6, 1925 in Buchanan, he was the son of Luther Powell Keith, Buchanan and the late Zettie Hodges Keith. He was a member of Glasgow Baptist Church, Buena Vista C.B. Club, Glasgow First Aid Crew and Governor of Glasgow Moose Lodge. He was a retired maintenance employee from Southern Virginia College. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bartley Keith, Glasgow; a daughter, Jane Keith, Vinton; two sons, John Keith, Natural Bridge, and Kenneth Keith, Sunset, S.C.; a stepson, Ronald Saunders, Roanoke; three grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; four sisters, Garn ett Hayes, Lynchburg, Janie Horne, Ruth Holley and Marie Austin, all of Vinton; three brothers, Curtis Keith, Gerald Keith and Karl Keith, all of Buchanan. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 6, at Glasgow Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Glasgow Cemetery. KELLY, Bert Allen, 86, of Greensboro, Ga., formerly of Roanoke, died Wednesday, November 2, 1994, in Atlanta, Ga. Son of the late T. C. and Nellie Kelly, he was retired from the Virginian and the Norfolk-Southern Railway after 49 years and 7 months of service. Surviving is his wife, Maxine Ellett Kelly; two sons, Richard Byrd Kelly and Bert Allen Kelly Jr.; two grandsons, Richard N. Kelly, and Bert Allen Kelly III. Graveside services will be in Fair View Cemetery 1 p.m. Monday, November 7, 1994 with the Rev. Robert D. S mith, pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Masonic Rites will be by Lakeland Lodge #190 AF & AM. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel after 2 p.m. Sunday.

KEY, Annette Nutter, of Roanoke, formerly of Huntington, W.Va. and Danville, Va., passed away Thursday evening, November 3, 1994. She received her education at Stuart Hall and Hollins College. Surviving are a son, Phillip W. Key Jr., Greensboro, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rachel Key and John Boyer, Shelley Key and Torrey Blackwell, all of Danville; a grandson, Delos White Boyer II; an uncle, Reuben Allen, Milton, W.Va.; and her fiance, Edward H. Brewer Jr., Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday from Danville Memorial Gardens. LUCAS, Robert Edwin, 65, of Roanoke, died Thursday, November 3, 1994. Mr. Lucas was a graduate of VPI, a member of Christ Episcopal Church, former president of H.A. Lucas Construction and an estimator for Thor Construction Company. Mr. Lucas is survived by his wife, Sally J. Lucas, Roanoke; daughters, Sue Ellen Lucas, Charlottesville, Mary Margaret Flippin, Roanoke; son, Robert E. Lucas Jr., Newport News; grandchildren, Sally Cook Flippin, Collins Gilmer Flippin both of Roanoke. MEEK, William Herbert, 90, of Sugar Grove, died Friday, November 4, 1994, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a prominent Rye Valley Farmer and a member of Elizabeth United Methodist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Geraldine Meek Gallagher of Roanoke, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, William Stephen and Ellie Meek of Sugar Grove; four grandchildren, Rita and husband, David Gilbert, William John Gallagher, Stephen Patrick Gallagher, and Stephen and wife, Lisa Meek; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Gilbert and Jeremy Meek. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 7, 1994, 2 p.m. at Elizabeth United Methodist Church in Sugar Grove with Rev. Tom Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Meek-Scott Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, doantions may be made to the Elizabeth United Methodist Church. MITCHELL, Alice Virginia Fitzpatrick, of Vinton, passed away Thursday, November 3, 1994. Funeral 1 p.m. Monday, Oakey's Vinton Chapel.

MONTAGUE, Henry Starbuck Jr., 78, of Blacksburg, died early Friday, November 4, 1994, in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. Mr. Montague was born May 12, 1916 in Starkville, Mississippi, the son of the late Henry S. Montague, Sr. and Margaret Montgomery Montague. He received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University and later earned a Master's degree in Library Science. For a number of years he served on the library staff at Virginia Tech and was an active member of the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church throughout his residency in Blacksburg. He is survived by a number of cousins located throughout the South and a host of loyal friends. His body will be taken from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home to the Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, Mississippi and burial will take place in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Starkville. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 7, 1994, from the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, conducted by Dr. D. Cameron Murchison and the Rev. Kathy Carpenter. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the Blacksburg Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 144, Blacksburg, VA 24063-0144 or the First Presbyterian Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Local arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.

SHIVELY, Taylor Howard, 82, of Altavista and formerly of Roanoke, died Thursday, November 3, 1994. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Altavista, and a former member of Altavista Rotary Club. Mr. Shively was a member of Lakeland Lodge #190 A.F. and A.M., Roanoke Scottish Rite Bodies, Kazim Shrine Temple and a charter member of Roanoke Valley Shrine Club. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of American Legion Post 3. He is survived by his wife, Mary Rader Shively; one son, Robert B. Shively of Lees Summit, Mo.; two grandsons, Robert B. Shively Jr. of Madison, Wis., Howard Houston Shively of Ashburn, Va.; one great-grandson, Taylor Houston Shively of Ashburn. A graveside service will be conducted in Green Hill Cemetery, Altavista, at 11 a.m. Monday by Dr. Andrew Manis. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Finch & Finch Funeral Home and other time s at the residence, 2120 Laurel Lane, Altavista. She is survived by two sons, Francis Tanner, Lorenza Tanner, both of Bedford; one daughter, Lula Viola Campbell, Bedford; one sister, Purleen Nelms, Bedford; two daughter-in-law; one brother-in-law; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
