RADFORD BURNS AUBURN

On a cold Friday night, the Radford Bobcats warmed themselves with a 42-14 roasting of cross-county rival Auburn - and with thoughts of a spot in the Group A Division 2 playoffs.

It was the first football meeting between Radford and Auburn, and the Bobcats (7-2) introduced themselves brusquely with Cornell Wesley's 45-yard scoring run on their first play from scrimmage. Wesley carried the ball only six times but racked up 105 yards, all in the first half.
