CHRISTIANSBURG A joint public hearing will be held Thursday, Dec. 8, 7:30 p.m., by the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors, Blacksburg Town Council, Christiansburg Town Council and Virginia Tech, to hear comments about the new Montgomery Regional Solid Waste Authority.

The hearing will be held on the third floor of the Montgomery County Courthouse.

Artists selling card collection

BLACKSBURG - The Voluntary Action Center is selling a card collection featuring the works of local artists including Tom Butterfield, Martha Dillard, Nadine Allen, Joni Pienkowski and Barbara Capps.

The collection of seven cards may be purchased for $7 at The Gallery of Local Artists, Foto Expo, Bonomo's, Artists Choice Framing Gallery and Miller Off Main Gallery.
