LAUREL PARK HOLDS OFF DAN RIVER 83-72

Darrell Wilson scored eight of his game-high 23 points in the final minute as Laurel Park blew a 19-point lead, but held on for an 83-72 Piedmont District boys basketball victory over Dan River on Monday.

The Lancers (2-0, 2-0) outscored the Wildcats (0-2, 0-2) 27-12 in the second quarter, but saw that lead evaporate to 70-69 in the fourth quarter before Wilson took charge.
