The Cavaliers (5-2) scored the first seven points of the game and led by as many as 16 en route to a 38-24 lead at halftime.
The Spiders (2-4) had 10-2 run early in the second half to cut the lead to 42-34 with 14 minutes, 45 seconds left. Melanie Noise hit four layups during the run. The Cavaliers responded with a 16-0 run, and the Spiders never recovered.
Wendy Palmer had 15 points, and Charleata Beale added 11 points and six steals for the Cavaliers.
Denise Winn led the Spiders with 13 points, and Noise had 12.

RADFORD - Freshman Cindy McCauley scored 13 of her team-high 17 points in the second half to help the Thundering Herd get by the Highlanders in a non-conference game.
Radford (2-4) shot 29 percent in the first half as the Highlanders fell behind by seven at halftime. Marshall opened its lead to 15, 53-38, when McCauley hit a jumper with less than seven minutes to play.
The Highlanders closed to 63-57 with 2:40 left on a 3-pointer by Jenny Goode.
Marshall (4-1) put away the game on back-to-back layups by Kristi Sexton and Jodi Baker, who finished with 16 points.
Radford got a game-high 18 points from freshman Rebecca McNeil, a former Christiansburg High School standout who also grabbed 10 rebounds. Former Northside High School star Patti Fisher finished with a career-high 12 points for the Highlanders.

Suzanne Moore scored a game-high 15 points to keep the Maroons unbeaten in Old Dominion Athletic Conference play with an easy victory over visiting Hollins.
Roanoke also got 13 points from center Crystal Wilson and 12 from Paula Kennedy. The Maroons held Hollins (1-5 overall, 1-3 ODAC) to 28 percent field-goal shooting for the game.
Hollins got 14 points from Sarah Kirby and 11 from Kellie Duncan. Amy Whorley added 10.
