BERRY, Matthew Jason, 22, of Rt. 1, Box 147, Bland, Va., died Friday from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was employed as a dispatcher with the Bland County Sheriffs Dept. He is survived by his wife, Amy Bradshaw Berry, Bland; his father, Richard J. Berry, Bland; his mother, Geneva A. Berry, Wytheville; a sister, Mrs. Davis ``Donna"" Kirk, Wytheville; a brother, Richard J. ``Dickie"" Berry Jr., Bland; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Berry, Bluefield, W. Va.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Atwell, Rocky Gap, Va. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at 11 a.m., in the Mercer Funeral Home Chapel, Bluefield, W. Va. BROWN, Frances Lessie Mae Burris, 91, of Salem, passed away Saturday, December 24, 1994. She was born July 18, 1903 in Grayson County, the daughter of the late George M. and Missouri E. Martin Burris. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Brown; two sons, Alvin L. Brown and Arnold E. Brown; two grandchildren. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Vernon L. and Thelma Rhodes Brown of Salem; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and E. J. Moses of Pennington Gap, Betty Turner of Salem, Dorothy and Adrian Blankenship of Huddleston, Mary and Buddy Wells of Salem; two daughters-in-law, Nell Howard Brown and Lois Parker Brown, both of Salem; sister, Bess Burris of Salem; brother, Charle s Burris of Elliston; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Irvin Sloan and Chaplain Thomas Clay officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. CAMPBELL, William H., 84, of Lebanon, died Sunday, December 25, 1994, in Russell County Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian R. Campbell. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Florence L. Campbell of Rustburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy C. and Stephen M. Quillen of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Ira M. Quillen II of Lynchburg, Richard Lee Quillen and wife, Abby of Lebanon, Suzanne E. Mays and husband, Ronald O. Mays Jr., of Greensboro, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Morgan Mays and Allyson Mays, both of Greensboro, N.C.; four sisters, Eva Martin, Jane McGhee, Louise Hankla, all of Marion, and Inez Carter of Salem; one brother, George F. Campbell of Forest. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at 2:15 p.m. in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Marion. CHARLES, Nina M., 59, of Elbert, W.Va., died Saturday, December 24, 1994, at Bluefield, W.Va. Hospital. She was born in Hemphill, W.Va. the daughter of the late Boliver B. and Alice Conner Young. She had been a resident of Elbert for the past 53 years, a member of the Advent Christian Church in Elbert. She was formerly employed by McDowell County Board of Education as a Remedial Reading Aide at Gary Elementary School. She is preceded in death by a brother, Clayton D. Young and two sisters, Marie and Zella. Survivors include her husband, Aaron Charles of Elbert, W.Va.; one son, Dennis Charles of Hardy; two daughters, Mrs. Hossein (Dawn) Rezai of Lynchburg, Dana R. Charles of Blue Ridge; three grandchildren, Michael L. Charles, Daniel and Nina Rezai. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch W.Va. with the Rev. FRIED, Mary Della Taylor, 67, of Salem, died Sunday, December 25, 1994, in a local hospital. She was a native of Christiansburg, Va., but had resided in Salem most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Salem, and is preceded in death by her husband, Irving Fried. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Painter and Teresa Thrush; three sons, Chuck E. . Taylor, Steven M. Taylor and Kendall W. Taylor; a sister, Hazel ``Peggy"" Hale; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 27, at 2 p.m., in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, with the Rev. Scott Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the East Hill Cemetery. FULLER, Kenneth F., ``Doc"", 77, of Marion, died Sunday, December 25, 1994, in Smyth County Community Hospital. Mr. Fuller served in World War II in 82nd Airborne Division in Europe. He retired from Brunswick Corp. after 25, years of service, was a member of the Marion V.F.W. Post #4667 and the First United Methodist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Frances Byers Fuller of Marion; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and William L. Taylor of Marion; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth W. ``Butch"" Fuller of Manassas, William T. ``Bill"" Fuller of New Bern, N.C., and Gary D. and Denise Fuller of Marion; three sisters, Mrs. Joe (Elizabeth) Reeves of Galax, Mrs. Reeves (Helen) Tomlinson of Rural Retreat, and Mrs. Dennis (Ramona) Burns of Bristol, Tenn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Harold (Grace) Fuller of Mineral; eight grandchildren; two great-grandsons; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 27, 1994, at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Rev. Neville Mozingo and the Rev. Wiley Neal officiating. MINTER, Lura Ellis, 89, of Route 4, Moneta, passed away Sunday, December 25, 1994, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She was born in Bedford County on September 13, 1905, a daughter of the late William A. Ellis and Molly Meador Ellis. Her husband was the late John Wingfield Minter. She was a homemaker and a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, Lewis Ellis of Moneta. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 27, 1994 at 2 p.m. from the Diamond Hill Union Church by the Revs. Terry Nester, Phil Day and Walter Mason with interment in the church cemetery. ROBRECHT, Raymond Robert, Jr., 57, of Salem, died Saturday, December 24, 1994, after a long bout with Lou Gehrig's disease. Mr. Robrecht was a republican member of the House of Delegates for ten years, and was a former Roanoke County Commonwealth's Attorney. He was a board member of the Salem Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce, and was also a board member of the ARC. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Roanoke. Mr. Robrecht was born in Morristown, New Jersey; and is a graduate of the Washington & L
ee University. Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Nancy LLoyd Robrecht; two sons, Raymond Robert Robrecht III, and Alfred Lloyd Robrecht of Saint Simons, Ga.; a daughter, Georgia Howard Robrecht of Salem; a brother , David Walter Robrecht of Milford, Pa.
