COUGARS RIP CELTICS

Bryan Ratcliff scored a career-high 18 points and made all nine of his field-goal attempts to help Pulaski County set what was believed to be a school record for points as the Cougars blasted Roanoke Catholic 113-56 on Thursday in a non-district game.

The Cougars (5-0) got 20 points each from Tyrone Hash and Eric Webb. The Cougars shot over 60 percent from the field.

The Celtics got 15 points from Tony Joyce.

ROCKY GAP - Eric Faulkner scored 19 points to lead the Eagles to an overtime victory. Rocky Gap (4-2) trailed 55-52 with just a few seconds remaining when Faulkner, who scored 13 in the second half, buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie the game at 55 and send it to overtime. Radford (3-3) was led by Matt Linkous, who scored a game-high 20 points - 18 in the second half.

MARION - Anthony Thomas scored 13 points to pace three Carroll County players in double figures as the Cavaliers captured fifth place in the Marion Holiday Classic. Matt Larrowe and Kevin Dalton added 12 each for the Cavaliers (3-5), who pulled away after outscoring Marion 14-4 in the third quarter.
