Shortly before 10 a.m., a man walked into the Crestar branch office at Electric Road and Brambleton Avenue and handed a teller a note, according to Detective C.S. Sturgill of the Roanoke County Police Department.
The man did not display a gun or hold his hands in his pockets as if he were carrying one, Sturgill said.
The teller read the note - which police declined to describe - and gave the man an undisclosed amount of money. The man walked away from the bank and last was seen getting into a car in a nearby parking lot.
Only two customers were in the bank at the time, and no one was injured.
There have been no arrests, and Sturgill said there were no suspects by Friday afternoon.
